Too Fast!

Good morning, I just wanted to let you all know that my baby is growing up way to fast! I love her and she cracks me up, she is a sweet little lady and she loves her family. However, she is everywhere! She crawls into places she isn't allowed. This is where I found her hiding today!

I was checking my sisters blog and I hadn't heard from Emie in a while so I went see where she got to and found her in her sisters dresser drawer! I love it! Thank Heaven for little babies!

Mom's Favorite Day!

As a mother there are only a few days that bring us happiness! Yes there are the obvious ones like our birthday's, Mother's day, Christmas and maybe (depending on our husbands) our anniversay, but lets face it, the two best days for a mom are,

1. The first day of school

2. The first day of school after the Christmas Vacation!

Those two days send thrills down our spines and bring a perma smile to our faces. All glory to the public school system who will take our children from us for a few hours a day and hopefully teach them something useful. Now don't get me wrong...I love my children! I love spending time with them and playing with them and talking to them and doing everything else on the face of the planet with them, but while the 3 older kids are at school it is like...UHHH... when your husband comes home for an hour or so and wathces tv. It's my break, t.v. time, my time to myself. Because face it when the kids come home my time is theirs even if it is 3 a.m. Now those of you who may not have all the kids gone yet (I don't either by the way) don't worry, it will happen for you, enjoy the time with the kiddo's now because when they are all gone I have the sinking feeling I will long for the days when they were all home invading all my privacy's and getting underfoot. But for now school begins in just about 36 hours!!!

Yoga Class!

So My sister, Monica, made a few new years resolutions and one of them was to do yoga everyday! Last night she invited Michelle and Kaitlyn to join in on the fun! In the first picture they are finding their "center". So cute! After they were all done Monica said I was tripping all over the girls the whole time. Michelle loves yoga. At school she and Eli are in the Yoga Club that meets every Thursday after school. Maybe Monica and Michelle will rub off on me and I will soon find my "center"
P.S. I got a new camera for Christmas and this was all shot with it!

December 8th!

On Saturday December 8th Michelle was baptized. She was so cute and excited. We have been talking about this day all year and now it finally happened. She practiced with dad before we went to the church. When we got the the stake center we got her dressed in the lovely jump suit Grandma Platt made for her. Then took some pictures and then went in for the talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost! After the talks were all done we were dismissed to go into the baptismal room. We watched two friends get baptized then it was our turn! The practicing payed off because she did great and so did Dad! When she got out of the water she was freezing and couldn't stop shivering from being so cold. I think she was a little excited to! We got her in her beautiful dress that Grandma Crockett bought for her, and did her hair and when we got to the confirmation room everybody was talking to her and telling her congratulations and she is the cleanest one in the room and things like that. So we got to the front and the bishop called her up there and Dad confirmed her a member of the church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. After she was all done she started crying and we didn't know why so dad asked and she said "I'm just so happy". We think maybe she felt that Heavenly Father was there telling her how well pleased he was with her! She was great that day and I hope she will always remember that wonderful feeling she had when she felt the Holy Ghost so strongly!

Birthday Party!

Michelle had her 8th birthday on Saturday sooo she of course had to have a friend party. All 9 girls that were invited came:) Mom was on her own because on Thursday Michelle asked dad to take Eli and Parker and "get out". So a total of 10, 8 year old girls (and Emie), were here at the house running and playing and being wild girls. We had lots of fun! We made Christmas tree ornaments (candy canes) and we made reindeer candy canes. They ate lots of chips and candy and Ice Cream!! I had one little girls who said she ate too many chips so she had no room for cake and ice cream! Every one was so cute and helpful. Thanks to all the moms who let their girls come!
