After it was all over! It only took 20 minutes! However we are still cleaning up everything and it is the 27th. I hope all your Christmas' were as great as ours! Have a happy new year!

December 8th!

On Saturday December 8th Michelle was baptized. She was so cute and excited. We have been talking about this day all year and now it finally happened. She practiced with dad before we went to the church. When we got the the stake center we got her dressed in the lovely jump suit Grandma Platt made for her. Then took some pictures and then went in for the talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost! After the talks were all done we were dismissed to go into the baptismal room. We watched two friends get baptized then it was our turn! The practicing payed off because she did great and so did Dad! When she got out of the water she was freezing and couldn't stop shivering from being so cold. I think she was a little excited to! We got her in her beautiful dress that Grandma Crockett bought for her, and did her hair and when we got to the confirmation room everybody was talking to her and telling her congratulations and she is the cleanest one in the room and things like that. So we got to the front and the bishop called her up there and Dad confirmed her a member of the church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. After she was all done she started crying and we didn't know why so dad asked and she said "I'm just so happy". We think maybe she felt that Heavenly Father was there telling her how well pleased he was with her! She was great that day and I hope she will always remember that wonderful feeling she had when she felt the Holy Ghost so strongly!

Birthday Party!

Michelle had her 8th birthday on Saturday sooo she of course had to have a friend party. All 9 girls that were invited came:) Mom was on her own because on Thursday Michelle asked dad to take Eli and Parker and "get out". So a total of 10, 8 year old girls (and Emie), were here at the house running and playing and being wild girls. We had lots of fun! We made Christmas tree ornaments (candy canes) and we made reindeer candy canes. They ate lots of chips and candy and Ice Cream!! I had one little girls who said she ate too many chips so she had no room for cake and ice cream! Every one was so cute and helpful. Thanks to all the moms who let their girls come!

Baptism!

Hello All! Next Saturday is Michelle's Baptism

I have been tagged 2 times now So I better do it before it happens again. list 6 things about myself and then I am done should be easy right but not for me, I can't even really think about myself very much in any given day so this will be a hard one. I will try to keep it positive and not about eveything that really bugs me.

Ok #1 As you can tell from my last post I love the Christmas Season. It always makes me happy and I want everyone to feel the same way but sometimes I think people think I am crazy for all my smiling at them;) I also get to spend money I think that is one BIG incentive.

Ok #2 I love to do things that make me happy, like read, scrapbook, talk to friends, watch movies, see family, take a bath, and probably many more. I don't have time to do much of this fun stuff. And in the odd chance I get to do this stuff usually someone messes it up for me. Like the kids needing SOMETHING! or like hubby needing me too! When do I get my time? Here's a count down for you Count down to the day your last child SHOULD leave the house!

Ok #3 I hate to argue with people! Unless I am in the mood and feel fighesty. I usually just retreat early and let the other person feel like they are right just because i hate to do it. I hate the feeling it brings to me I also don't feel like I have all my facts stright enough to argue intelligently. I always feel like maybe the Lord will strighten out the person who will pick a fight with me just because I don't like to argue. cross my fingers!

Ok #4 I am a baker! I want to make cookies and cakes and all sorts of sweet stuff! All the Time. I love to bake (it shows)! I also know the recipe will be there, I need a recipe. Cooks are the ones who can make things up as they go and it always tastes good and like they are a professional chef I always wished I could do that but I get scared that all I will do is waste perfectly good food.

Ok #5 I love to play games! Yep board games included. I think it is fun and it is always different. Justin hates to play games with me though. He always thinks I cheat, but I don't I just happen to be good;) However I am not good at playing games that you have to remember things like movie lines I love to watch movies but for some reason nothing ever sticks in. Maybe that is why I can watch a movie over and over again without getting to tired of it!

Ok #6 Last and probably least. I want to be a photographer! I took a class at the Mesa Arts Center and everything. I also went and took pictures of Michelle at the Mesa AZ temple for her baptism announcements! I feel like I totally bombed at it. I I don't know if I should do it. I love it though I don't know!

I put that negative one in just because I promised one for you!!!

Is it to Early?

OK I know it is only November 8th but I really want to start getting ready for Christmas. I have always loved this time of year and the spirit of Christmas so I guess I really want to get a jump on things this year. I probably won't get the house decorated any time soon so I settled on getting my blog ready for the holiday season. Enjoy and have a great Thanksgiving!

GOT DIRT?

I can't believe how much dirt it takes to fill a pool! My brother Kenny got a hold of some dirt for Justin and me to fill the pool in. Holy Cow! It just kept coming. We had in on both side on in front of the house and up into our drive way. We went out and rented a bobcat to move the dirt into the pool and are we glad we spent that money. We got most of the dirt moved and now we will wait till Monday and we can the move the rest. I just wanted to say thanks to all the guys who helped out today. Kenny for getting the dirt and spending his Saturday helping get it over here. My Dad who helped when he really didn't have to and he didn't even expect to when he came down here today. And the men from Kenny's ward with trailers and big trucks who brought at least 7 loads each over here. THANK YOU ALL!

Halloween Party

Look at the awesome Frankenstein cupcake "cake" I made for Parker's preschool halloween party. Funny though non of the kids ate them. Tell me how hard is it to get 12 preschoolers to pose for a picture? Answer: near impossible! Parker was Buzz lightyear and his best friend just happened to be Woody! They were so excited!

Halloween Pumpkin

Friday night we took the kids to a "pumpkin patch" where they got to pick a pumpkin. They had a blast and all picked a great pumpkin. You could also tell when it was time to go and I wanted to get a picture of all 4 of them and Eli couldn't stop crying so we are dealing with the individual pictures that we have. Maybe someday our children will see how much they have.

Ok I have decided to enter into the world of blogging! This is my first post and I hope as time goes on my page will start to take shape and I will look like the pros you all are!!! Wish me luck!
