Just Because!

Well I have had the same post on for a few days now SO I thought I would update but I really don't have much to say so I am going to tell you something...

This Sunday I get to teach a lesson. Not just some ordinary lesson like for 5 year old children or even a lesson for all the children between the ages of 3-11. NO I get to teach in Relief Society. AAAAHHHHH! I am so nervous, I have no idea what to teach, well I mean, I know what to teach about, my lesson is on forgiveness and healing. But I don't know how to teach adults. I have been getting some good advice from my sister and husband which has helped but I still need to maybe write something down have some notes maybe an outline! But I am questioning if I even really know how to do that! This is the time in our lives when the high school teacher who said you will use this in your lives is rolling over and laughing at me. I should have paid attention in English maybe, maybe not, all I know is I am going to teach on Sunday and I am going to need some inspiration and heavenly help. So for now I will be saying good bye to the blog and spending the rest of this week preparing this lesson and making sure I don't teach anything that could get me kicked out of the room! Wish me luck and maybe send a few prayers my way! It would be greatly appreciated!
Waahh! for me!

Karate?

Last week we got a call from Arizona's Best Karate place saying we had a month of free lessons (courtesy of Laurel Rencher). Justin looked at me with my do you really want to sign the boys up for karate look, and said I thought it would be a good idea. I thought for a minute and came to the conclusion that Michelle has taken dance and is now in piano lessons and has had the extra curricular activities so I think the boys ought to have something. We also figured that Parker would totally benefit from the discipline that karate would give him...we hope! So we went to the first lesson and Parker of course didn't even want to get dressed but he enjoyed the lesson and Eli just thought it was a time to be very silly! Anyway Yesterday Justin and I went to the "sales meeting" where "Master Preston" sold us on the program. So Eli and Parker will be taking karate 1 day a week for the next year. YEAR? yep not so bad I hope! If I can remember to get them to the lessons on time. Last week I got dinner on the table and fed the family by 6:00 and then got Parker ready to go to class arrived at the school and was told I was an hour late! oops hence I am only doing this 1 day a week I can't afford 2 days and I also can't remember twice a week! Anyway here are some pictures of the boys that we got on the first free day of school!
These pictures were taken by my not great camera so if you have to see the boys go ahead and click on them image
Eli at attention! Eli Punching! Eli getting his first belt!
Parker punching! Parker Rolling! Parker getting his first belt!
The little girl would not get out

Birthday Party!

We had sort-of an impromptu birthday party for Eli Tonight. We had cake and as Katherine said "Good Effort"
as you can see I tried to make a bumblebee cake, well as you can also see I am not good, Eli was like well it doesn't really look like bumblebee! Thanks Eli:) So anyway, we had cake and ice cream and Eli opened up his presents and was so happy to have so many! He got Transformers of course now they can all play together without fighting right? Not so much! He was so cute and excited! All in all he had a good day he also got to go swimming with Aunt Koe that I think was the best time he had. So to all that celebrated with us Thanks for coming! And to all who gave gifts thanks so much he loved every bit of it!

Happy 7th Birthday Eli!

Well today is Eli's 7th Birthday! So I thought I would let you all see Eli as he grew up, notice how his smile hasn't changed a bit! Eli was born in the morning on July 21st 2001. He weighed 7lbs. and 10oz. and was 19 in. long. Eli was the happiest baby, great for mom, something else for dad. He loved to snuggle up to me and fall asleep, he also took his time with everything just like dad. He is now entering 2nd grade and couldn't be more excited. He loves "Transformers" and "Power Rangers" and feels like he is too big for "cars" and Buzz lightyear" (sniff sniff). He loves to swim and jump on the trampoline and play hard. He is a kind brother and my easiest kid. He loves church and learning things in school. I love you Eli you are a great kid!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My First...

Well I just want to let everyone know I had my first Home, Family, and Personal Enrichment meeting last night! I was so stressed I thought no one would like what we were doing or they would be bored because they already knew what we were talking about and stuff like that but it wasn't bad! All the ladies seemed to learn something they already didn't know, and they all seemed to help everyone out with answers and questions it was a great night! I was so excited and happy to see so many people have a good time! Anyway, I am so tired and ready to go to bed, luckly I don't have to plan another meeting until December of course that is the very spiritual Chirstmas one so I better start planning soon. But I guess first I should start the lesson I have...GET to teach on the first week in August! Wish me luck on that!

The Fourth of July Weekend!

As a tradition Justin and I always try to head up to St. Johns (where his parents live) AZ. to celebrate the 4th of July weekend! St. Johns has a wonderful day for the 4th celebration so it is fun to go up and the rest of the family always tries to go too. On Friday morning they have their pancake breakfast in the park, this is the boy scouts annual fundraiser and I am sure they do very well! After the breakfast they have a little program where people speak and sing and pay tribute to the USA! Then it is time for lunch. Lunch is awesome because well first of all it is free and second it is meat! They feed us barbecue beef and rolls and beans, it is very good. After lunch we head down to the snow cone stand and get snow cones to cool us off, not that we really need it the weather was just wonderful. In the park after lunch and snow cones they have little races where the kids from ages 1-??? whoever wants to race goes. Emie got a half dollar for her race, she was so cute! Michelle, Eli (not pictured) and Parker also did great and got cracker jacks for participating. When we were done at the park the adults were tired so we went home and relaxed for a while before heading out to Lyman Lake for the picnic dinner and fireworks. Fireworks are just beautiful when you see them over a lake. This year they were so pretty! While we were there Devon bought some sparklers for the kids to play with while waiting for the big show to start! Karrie "the pro" burned... oops... I mean roasted marshmallows. We ate and watched the show and then headed home. All the kids were asleep when we got home so we decided to let them go to bed dirty because, well, we were going swimming the next day anyway! Saturday was fun too just a day to relax and have fun while the kids ran and played! At 5:00 we went to the public pool and swam for an hour, just enough time for the kids to get cold and be ready to leave. Karrie had the brilliant idea to bathe the kids at the pool so we wouldn't have to do it that night at the house. We ate dinner on the deck sent the kids to bed and stayed up talking till late that night. As you can see the kids were pretty worn out! Sunday was pretty uneventful the kids woke up ate breakfast then we headed out for church. It was a pleasant weekend and we all had a fun time and missed the sisters who couldn't make it! I hope all of your 4th's were as nice as mine!
