Easter Weekend:)

Alright, wow talk about your blog catch up! BTW, I blogged about the month of March but had already started it and saved it as a draft soo it is under the post about the wax story! OK now on with it Megan!
This Easter weekend we got to go over to Safford to spend our time with my family! We stayed with Monica and Jeff and had a lot of fun that night! Saturday morning we woke up not so early and headed out to Klondye for our 2nd Cousins reunion. They decided to invite our grandma and the rest of the Crockett side their reunion! How nice they fed us and gave all the kids a Easter basket LOADED with lots of fun stuff. They live out on a ranch and had lots of outdoors for the kids to roam without us worrying about them too much! They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and then it happened...we spotted the cute little puppies and that was it, the kids were hooked! Well so was I, it turns out they were to be given away as Easter gifts! So what did I do? Yea momentary lapse of brain function and said "I want the brown one!" Oh he is so cute! So here he is!

I think we will name him Max, that is the name we actually all think would work! The kids are so excited, he is a great puppy. It's sort-of funny how he doesn't like being outside, although that is where he lives. He probably never went indoors before now and now he is hooked! Every time the door opens he runs to get there before it closes!

So the Easter Bunny visited in a way that has changed our lives completely, thanks to my impulse reaction to hearing that something is "free"!
Sunday was a good one, Church, food and family! We went to church with Jeff and the Kids (Monica got sick) then headed over to my mom's house where she fed us Ham and lots of Jello's. Then visited until it was time to leave! It was a great day and good to be able to see everyone!

General Conference!

Wasn't Conference great this year?...Yea that was a question! We did have G.C. on all day on Saturday and watched the first session while making breakfast and getting ready for the day, but my kids just like to make things like listening very difficult! Anyway Saturday after the morning session Justin decided to move a wall so painting the house would be easier and to make the look of the house nicer too! Anyway so we missed the second session on Saturday and Justin missed the Priesthood session that night due to needing groceries at Sam's Club! At this point we are really glad that we get the Ensign! On Sunday morning, it was a bit more calm, we let the kids play so we could get something out of conference. When the first session was done we called the kids into the room and explained to them that they were going to watch the second session with us quietly and revently. During the break this is how our kids entertained themselves!
Yep they got every shirt in their dressers and layered themselves up to the point that when they hit each other it didn't hurt! What? Why? I don't get it! Oh well they were playing quietly! That went on until conference started again and we called them in to watch! Or Sleep? Yea I think everyone fell asleep but Eli, I say I think because I did fall asleep! Man are we glad we get 2 copies of the Ensign! I always like General Conference the spirit that is in my home and the love that is shared! Hopefully in 6 months we get a little more out of it!

Umm...just for fun!

Ok first of all I tried to post something earlier but blogger wouldn't upload my photos so I will go back to that post tomorrow (hopefully) and fill everyone in for the month of March...totally busy! I don't see April being so busy though so maybe I can get more things posted! Yea let's just see!

But I loved this e-mail when I got it years ago and I think of it often so I am posting it here so when I do think of it I can just easily find it and read it!

WAX is Not your Friend CAUTION: Be prepared to laugh out loud...I laughed till I almost cried as I could just see this happening! ( And feel it too! ) All hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises of easy, painless removal - The epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the wax. My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully in my mind for the next few hours: "Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet." So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom. It was one of those "cold wax" kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and you peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off. No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I'm not a genius, but I am mechanically inclined enough to figure this out.
(YA THINK!?!) So I pull one of the thin strips out. Its two strips facing each other stuck together. Instead of rubbing them together, my genius kicks in so I get out the hair dryer and heat it to 1000 degrees. ("Cold wax," yeah...right!) I lay the strip across my thigh. Hold the skin around it tight and pull. It works! OK, so it wasn't the best feeling, but it wasn't too bad. I can do this!
Hair removal no longer eludes me! I am She-rah, fighter of all wayward body hair and maker of smooth skin extraordinaire. With my next wax strip I move north. After checking on the kids, I sneak back into the bathroom, for the ultimate hair fighting championship. I drop my panties and place one foot on the toilet. Using the same procedure, I apply the one strip across the right side of my bikini line, covering the right half of my *hoo-hoo* and stretching down to the inside of my butt cheek .
(Yes, it was a long strip)
I inhale deeply and brace myself....RRRRIIIPPP!!!! I'm blind!!! Blinded from pain!!!!....OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!
Vision returning, I notice that I've only managed to pull off half the strip. CRAP!!! Another deep breath and RRIIPP!!
Everything is swirly and spotted.
I think may pass out...must stay conscious..
Do I hear crashing drums???
Breathe, breathe...OK, back to normal. I want to see my trophy - a wax covered strip, the one that has caused me so much pain, with my hairy pelt sticking to it. I want to revel in the glory that is my triumph over body hair. I hold up the strip! There's no hair on it.
Where is the hair??? WHERE IS THE WAX??? Slowly I ease my head down, foot still perched on the toilet. I see the hair. The hair that should be on the strip. I touch. I am touching wax.
CRAP!
I run my fingers over the most sensitive part of my body, which is now covered in cold wax and matted hair. Then I make the next BIG mistake...remember my foot is still propped up on the toilet? I know I need to do something. So I put my foot down. DANG!!!!!!!!
I hear the slamming of a cell door. "hoo-hoo*? Sealed shut! Butt?? Sealed shut!
I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself "Please don't let me get the urge to poop. My head may pop off!"
What can I do to melt the wax? Hot water!! Hot water melts wax!!! I'll run the hottest water I can stand into the bathtub, get in, immerse the wax-covered bits and the wax should melt and I can gently wipe it off, right???
WRONG!!!!!!! I get in the tub - the water is slightly hotter than that used to torture prisoners of war or sterilize surgical equipment - I sit. Now, the only thing worse than having your nether regions glued together is having them glued together and then glued to the bottom of the tub...in scalding hot water. Which, by the way, doesn't melt cold wax. So, now I'm stuck to the bottom of the tub as though I had cement-epoxied myself to the porcelain!! God bless the man who had convinced me a few months ago to have a phone put in the bathroom!!!!! I call my friend, thinking surely she has waxed before and has some secret of how to get me undone. It's a very good conversation starter - "So, my butt and who-ha are glued together to the bottom of the tub!" There is a slight pause. She doesn't know any secret tricks for removal but she does try to hide her laughter from me. She wants to know exactly where the wax is located, "Are we talking cheeks or who-ha?" She's laughing out loud by now...I can hear her. I give her the rundown and she suggests I call the number on the side of the box. YEAH!!!!! Right!! I should be the joke of someone else's night. While we go through various solutions. I resort to scraping the wax off with a razor. Nothing feels better then to have your girlie goodies covered in hot wax, glued shut, stuck to the tub in super hot water and then dry-shaving the sticky wax off!! By now the brain is not working, dignity has taken a major hike and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need Post-Traumatic Stress counseling for this event. My friend is still talking with me when I finally see my saving grace....the lotion they give you to remove the excess wax. What do I really have to lose at this point?
I rub some on and OH MY GOD!!!!!!! The scream probably woke the kids and scared the dickens out of my friend. It's sooo painful, but I really don't care.
"IT WORKS!! It works!!" I get a hearty congratulation from my friend and she hangs up.
I successfully remove the remainder of the wax and then notice to my grief and despair....THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!! So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point. Next week I'm going to try hair color...... Now thats funny ........ Notttttttt

March Madness!

March was, as I predicted, very busy. I started the month out with 2 day care kiddo's. PJ (3) gets to come on Monday's and Tuesday's for a few hours. And Jack (5 months) gets to come on Monday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's all day. This has kept me pretty busy so far, hardly time to blog let alone read others blogs. On March 5 Justin and I decided to celebrate our 12 year anniversary a little early! Yep 12 years who would have thought...look how young we are almost babies! We went up to scottsdale for the night before Justin had surgery. Oh did I forget to mention that. Yea Justin was getting shoulder surgery on March 6th that is why we dicided to celebrate early. We spent the night in scottsdale so we could be closer to the hospital (so I didn't have to wake up at 3:30 basically). Anyway, the hotel was so nice this is what I said to Justin as we walked in..."wow a hotel with the stairs on the inside" yea I know we are such hicks! It was so nice the guy at the counter as we checked in told us we should try out the "heated" swimking pool. Oh I didn't even think of that so we headed off to Marshall's to find swimming apperal. While we were out we dicided to eat out at Red Robin. Wow that was good! I liked the Guacamole Burger and Justin enjoyed the Peppercorn Burger. After finding the hospital (so I wouldn't get lost in the morning) we headed back to the hotel where we enjoyed the Hot Tub. The pool was heated but not enough for us Arizona Natives. The next morning we headed off the the hospital where I sat for a few hours and Justin had his surgery! It didn't last for too long and the pictures were really gross, I thought about posting those but I changed my mind! I also took pictures of him before he went in but with my cell phone, which stopped working about 3 weeks ago! Anyway the month was just busy with day care and Relief Society! We had our R.S Birthday Celebration. It was a Fiesta with a Pinata and everything! I heard several times it was good hopefully I can continue the good and not anything bad!
On March 25th Parker turned 5
He was soooo excited, he kept telling people days before the 25th I am five today is my birthday. He got a ton of loot and wants to spend all day building houses with his lego's, and going to the store to spend his money! He is so cute and smart. He will start Kindergarten next year and with any luck he will have all day, but if not I guess I will survive another half day year!

After we got the cement done in February I decided that the house couldn't go any longer without a coat of paint so we went though so may paint samples and finally picked one that worked and came home and found out it was a very very lime green color. YIKES! back to home depot we go with a different color and wow what a difference. The lime green would have fit into our neighborhood just fine but we really don't want the missionaries to tract us out on a monthly basis! So here is a before picture we have a LHOT of work to do!
Spring Break was this month too. We didn't do much because of the fact that my kids are rotten. But we did make it over to Safford to visit cousins and Grandma's and Grandad! The kids were so sure they could potty train Emie too. They didn't have much luck but tried. Emie is her own person no one will tell her what to do!
The month was so busy that I can't really remember what exactly what happened and when it happened so this is just what I can remember! I hope you didn't laugh to hard when you saw our wedding picture!
